Welcome to my portfolio site. I am Mary Drew Powers, recent graduate of the University of Washington’s Information School, and Madame Librarian*. This site is where I keep evidence of my professional capabilities, aspirations and goals.
What you’ll find here:
About – my background, thoughts on librarianship, and current resume.
Library of Professional Artifacts – Here is where I keep evidence of professional expertise, using WebJunction’s Competency Index for the Library Field (2009) as an organizing framework.
mme.lib blog - occasional postings of what is happening in my professional life, what projects I’m working on or know about, what’s new and exciting in the world of Montana libraries.
Thanks for stopping by!
*For those whose parents didn’t have the soundtrack album from The Music Man, Marian, “Madame Librarian,” was the love interest and main subject of a song which has oft been crooned to me by family and friends since I began the iSchool program. I’ve appreciated their support, so I named my site mme.lib in honor of their musical(?) efforts.
